A friend and I walked it while my husband was in Maumelle Surgery Hospital. We're both afraid of heights. We did great, never bothered us a bit.
Does anyone know what the incline is???

Kudos to LR for thinking big and carrying it out. Pretty amazing piece of engineering. Aesthetically, at least during the day, it ain't much to look at, but it serves a great function linking parks and trails. I can see where cyclists speeding down the bridge could be an issue for peds. Speed bumps?
For my next LR trip, I'm definitely planning on viewing and walking the bridge at night. From the photos I've seen, the lighting system really sets off the bridge and river.

FINALLY I WALKED/RAN THE BIG DAM BRIDGE. IT WAS SO WONDERFUL I HAD TO WALK/RUN THE BRIDGE AGAIN. I LOVED IT..I WANT TO GO EVERY DAY.

Little Rock is my birthplace and I spent the first four years of my life in various parts of Arkansas. To me, it will always be "home". I love the name of the bridge. It's very funny. And, the purpose of the bridge is wonderful. Linking people and places to one another, and encouraging the exploration of nature and exercise makes it a true thing of beauty. I hope to walk across it one day.

I JUST MOVED IN THE AREA FROM MISSOURI. MY LITTLE BROTHER AND SIS-IN-LAW INTRODUCED ME TO THE BIG DAM BRIDGE
AND AS I AM NORMALLY A "WALKER" I REALLY LOVE THE DAM BRIDGE. IT IS JUST LOVELY AND SUCH A UNIQUE ATTRACTION FOR OUR AREA. I HAVE NEVER KNOWN OF ANOTHER WALKING BRIDGE SUCH AS THIS ONE. THANK YOU FOR PROVIDING SUCH A WONDERFUL THING FOR "EVERYONE". SHIRL

I think the bikes are very unsafe on the bridge with pedestrians. There needs to be some alternative place for the bike riders for them only. They ride so fast and if you don't move quickly, they can and will run you over. Its very unsafe, especially when its pretty and there are lots of people walking on the bridge.

Today was my first time walking across big dam. It was breath taking and spiritual. Great views.
