The grandkids and I walked across the bridge today. It was exhilarating. The kids wanted to go again. I think we will make it a weekly walk as long as weather permits. The view is beautiful.

Hello,
Just to say I love your bridge! I wish we had one here in England just like it - it's a wonderful idea. My sister who lives in Little Rock sent me your web address as she has walked over the bridge with her little dog and knew I would appreciate what a lovely place it is. I visited Arkansas and other areas of the USA in May 2006 and am sorry I didn't have the opportunity of walking over this bridge - although I did walk across the Golden Gate Bridge at San Francisco. Travelling over your bridge can't help but be an uplifting exhilarating experience.
Best wishes,
Mrs Dee Lowe.

This is an informative, enjoyable and humorous! website.
And a big dam bridge..!
Wanted to comment, as there is something timeless about rivers, bridges and crossing a distance.
Have not been down "to the Arkansas" for many years.. Great view on and off the bridge, in your photo gallery. A country promenade is a good, or nice name for it's crossing too. Love the green in your state!
Greetings, from Scandinavia.

I have to tell you that all my life I have always wanted to somehow experience the days before automobiles and television when people entertained themselves by strolling at a gathering place where the beauty of their surroundings and the small exchanges between members of the community was important and was appreciated. Well, thanks to "our" Dam Bridge I have sampled this simple pleasure. In fact, if some people don't like the "Dam Bridge" as a given name then how about the "County Promenade" Its been since 'a once upon a time' long time ago since one has ever seen the mix of people from every walk (forgive me) of life being so attentive and open to their surroundings in a public place. It truly is a gift to every member of our community no matter how old or young, rich or poor, fit or physically challenged, stylish or clueless. And, it is a gift that will keep giving to each of us in our lifetimes and those to come. Wow, I love that dam bridge!
